SUNY Empire Associate Professor Featured in International Ocean Film Festival

Kevin Woo, Ph.D., an associate professor of science, math, and technology at SUNY Empire’s Manhattan location, was included in a feature length film entitled “Archipelago New York - An Island City” at the 19th Annual International Ocean Film Festival at the Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael, California on Sunday April 10, at 4 p.m. 

 

Woo, along with some of his students, is studying the seals that return to the New York City waterways every winter, more than a century after they left the area. 

 

Films presented at the International Ocean Film Festival will be available to stream online from April 11 to 24.
