Marly Norris, Vice President for Advancement

As vice president for advancement, Marly Norris serves as the institution’s chief fundraising officer and strategist, charged with elevating the institution's profile through revenue diversification and development and stewardship of donor, community, alumni, and government relations. She also serves as executive director of the SUNY Empire State Foundation.

Marly previously served as vice president for advancement and public affairs at Dominican University of California, where she led the university’s fundraising and alumni relations functions. Prior to Dominican University, Marly was associate vice president for corporate and foundation relations and associate vice president for principal and major gifts at University of San Francisco. She has also held key development roles at Smithsonian Institution, University of California Berkeley, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the San Francisco Opera.

Marly earned her bachelor’s degrees in English and Film Studies from University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA degree at Saint Mary’s College of California. She also completed the Leadership Development Program at University of California, Berkeley.
