Create

Be creative.

If you have an idea for creating community at your center or the university, contact your Student Success and Development Coordinator or the Office of Student Engagement.

Create or join a club.

Are you interested in becoming more active in the student community at Empire State University? Consider joining one of SUNY Empire's recognized clubs, student organizations, or interest groups.

If there isn't something you’re interested, check out the process to start your own.

Getting involved in a student organization, interest group, or club is the best way to explore new ideas and experiences, as well to make new friends.

Submit your art work to the Student Art Competition.

The Student Art Competition is held annually. Look for flyers and emails that announce the competition in early Fall. A digital representation of any type of art is submitted for review by a selection committee (photos, original paintings, drawings, 3 dimensional art, etc.) There are cash prizes for the top three winners and the honorable mention awards. The winners are recognized at the Spring Student Conference.
