As you prepare for the Spring 2023 term, aside from registration and meeting with your mentor, you might be a bit nervous or have more questions, so we invite you to join us at spring 2023 JumpStart! JumpStart Online provides workshops and drop-in hours with staff and faculty who can answer your questions and help you learn about time management, logging into and navigating online courses, and finding the right resources for you.  

JumpStart Online takes place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 5 to 9:15 pm and on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 12 pm to 6 pm. Registration is not required, and you do not have to attend every session, so feel free to just attend the sessions that make sense for you. If you are a new student, we do suggest you start off with the student panel presentation: If I knew then What I know Now, as you will get to hear from and speak with students who were once in your position. Learn from their experience about how to be successful at SUNY Empire! 

While JumpStart is geared toward new students, it is open to all students, and we love to see current students attend as a refresher. The schedule is listed below and please visit the JumpStart website to see the schedule and join the online event. The event takes place in Microsoft Teams, and if you can’t make it, don’t worry! All the workshops are recorded, and you can access the recordings the Friday after the event at the same web address.
