Temporary Disability

By: Andrea Piazza, Disability Specialist, Office of Accessibility Resources and Services

Are you a student with a spontaneous temporary disability?  For example, you tripped, fell, and broke your dominant hand.  You can no longer use it to write or type.  Temporary conditions that pose a barrier to accessing your studies may warrant accommodations through the Office of Accessibility Resources and Services.  A temporary condition is defined as a disability that lasts less than six months. If you aren’t sure and would like to speak confidentially about your individual situation, please call us at 800-847-3000, ext. 2244, or email the office at disability.services@esc.edu.
