Welcome!

As we enter the month of November, you may find it difficult to stay focused or find time for your schoolwork. We’re entering a month when we want to focus more on family, friends, and celebration, but school must still be in the mix! Although you may feel overwhelmed with what still needs to be done, we encourage you to reflect on all that you have accomplished.

We’re currently in week 10 of the fall term. That means 10 weeks of hard work, 70 days of dedication, and 1,680 hours of achievement. Take a minute to pause and give yourself a pat on the back for making it this far! Has there been a particularly challenging moment in this semester that you overcame? Did you receive a good grade on a tough assignment? Celebrate those wins! Let that serve as a reminder of what you can do when you set your mind to it.

While it’s important to reflect on the past, it’s equally important to keep your goals in mind. This newsletter will provide you with some important dates and bits of information that you may find useful moving forward.

If you find yourself struggling to find motivation, read the article about persistence and grit. Working on a big research paper? Check out the library search tips. And if you’re worried about getting everything done on time, we’ve got some awesome time management apps for you to try. You can also utilize the resources from Academic Support.

I challenge you to finish the fall term with the same energy and excitement that was there in the beginning. You’ve got five weeks left to make it great. YOU CAN DO THIS!
