Although fall officially began on September 22, October is the month many of us connect to the fall season. The leaves begin to change, the temperature begins to drop, and many of us celebrate with cozy sweaters, apple cider (or pumpkin spice if you prefer), holidays and celebrations, and all things spooky! 

This fall, however, the leaves haven’t been the only thing changing; change is in the air! As many of you are aware, we recently made the shift from Moodle to Brightspace. Change is not new, and it isn’t going anywhere but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy. Thankfully, being part of the SUNY Empire community also means that you’re familiar with perseverance, determination, and the ability to adapt. These are just some of the characteristics that are helpful in dealing with change head on and welcoming what lies ahead.  

Change also provides an opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow. Try to take a moment, in the midst of our fast-paced world, to appreciate the good things in your life and all that is to come.
