Guest Guidelines and FAQs

One guest will be permitted to attend the 2024 Spring Mini Conferences.

Anyone who is not currently a matriculated student of SUNY Empire and is attending conference meals and sessions with a registered student is considered a guest. All guests must be 18 or older in order to attend the conference. No guests under the age of 18 are permitted to attend the conference.

Please take a look at the Guest FAQs for additional information. By registering a guest for the conference, the registered student accepts all responsibility for their guest.

Guest FAQs

A guest is anyone who is 18 years of age or older, not a currently matriculated student of Empire State University, and will be attending conference meals and sessions with a registered SUNY Empire student. 

There is no fee for a guest to attend one of our 2024 Spring Student Mini Conferences.

Note: The guest fee will be assessed annually, based on the cost of food, the event location, and the duration of the event. 

 

Your guest must be 18 years of age or older in order to attend any conference events. No persons under the age of eighteen will be allowed into any conference related activities; including meals. 

Please be aware that if you attempt bring someone under the age of 18, they will be asked to leave any conference related activities. 

 

You may bring one (1) guests per Empire State University student and the guest must be 18 years of age or older. 

 

 

Both you and your guest will need to submit the registration form.

For the following questions: Attending the Conference as a(n) and College Affiliation, please have the guest select the "Other" option and write guest in the appropriate field. See images below:

 

A guest is held to the same policies as an Empire State University student. These policies can be found in the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs. SUNY Empire students may be held responsible for the actions of any guest that they bring to a mini conference.

If your guest is found in violation of any policy, you and the guest will be asked to leave the conference. 

 

Payment, by check, for your guest is due prior to the conference. No payment will be taken during the conference, so please plan accordingly.
