OUR PURPOSE

The Fortified Classroom serves students in New York City, delivering individually tailored support to students in their first two terms at the university. This program provides students with a supportive, intensive academic experience, where they can learn in an open and understanding environment.

Coaches guide students in critical thinking, reading, writing, notetaking, healthy study habits, and math, working closely with them throughout the learning process, guiding them through to completion of their assignments. Professors and coaches ensure students stay on track, develop independence and direction, learn to plan for their continuing education and provide a framework for career decisions and advancement.

Through sharing experiences, discussing problems, and crafting solutions, the Fortified Classroom bolsters confidence, supports its community, and keeps students actively engaged in throughout their academic journey to graduation and future success.
