Apostille and Authentication of SUNY Empire Transcripts and Diplomas

Apostilles and Authentications are certificates of authenticity for use in a foreign country. SUNY Empire State University offers apostilles or authentication of student diplomas and transcripts. The country in which the document(s) will be used, determines whether they will need to be apostilled or authenticated.

The completed apostille or authentication form can be sent to the Office of the Registrar by email or U.S. mail. SUNY Empire does not accept apostille or authentication requests by phone.

Apostilles or authentications will not be processed until all outstanding obligations to the University are cleared.

Once an apostille or authentication request is received, please allow a minimum of 8 to 12 weeks to process the request.
