Exceptions to the Withdrawal Policy

At Empire State University we are aware that unexpected, exigent, personal circumstances may occur, negatively impacting a student's ability to complete their studies. In these rare cases, students may request an exception to the college's withdrawal policy. Requests for exceptions are reviewed by Student Accounts on an individual basis.

Students who are unable to complete their studies due to academic service related reasons may request an informal resolution or file a formal grievance. To facilitate this process, students should start with the Student Service representative in their home region.
