Health and Wellness
Empire State University understands that wellness and academic success go hand in hand. We prioritize the health and wellbeing of our students by providing them with free, easily accessible basic needs resources, mental health services, and educational programming. Health insurance is not required to access any of our resources. Looking to get involved and learn more about upcoming our events? Join the Empire Connects Health & Wellness Group.
Remember, you are important to Empire State University. We care, we are here to support you, and we want you to be the best version of yourself.
Resources for Students
Empire State University recognizes that many students face basic needs challenges such as food insecurity, homelessness, mental health struggles, financial difficulties, limited technology access, and more during their time enrolled. Getting connected with public resources can often be a confusing and overwhelming process. Our staff can help you navigate basic needs resources, both internal and external to the University, so that you can focus on your academic journey and path ahead. Learn more about available resources here:
The Student Health Advisory Committee consists of students who are passionate about health and wellness and want to have a say in how the health fee is utilized and the resources and programs made available to students. Students interested in joining SHAC must complete an application process, which will be made available each fall term.
