It's that time again! Remember to renew your financial aid applications for 2022-2023

1. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for 2022-2023 if you have not already done so.  Remember, part-time students may qualify for federal aid as well! Use your 2020 tax documents to complete.  Our federal school code is 010286.  The earlier you apply, the better since some federal funding is campus based and first-come, first-served. 

-If your financial situation has changed/worsened versus what appears on your 2020 taxes, please review the Special Condition process on our website under appeals to see if you qualify.  

2.  If you are a New York State resident and planning to attend full-time, don’t forget to also complete the New York State TAP application for 2022-2023.  Our school code for an associate’s degree is 0916 and the code for a bachelor’s degree is 0913.  Using the appropriate school code will ensure your application results are sent directly from New York State to our office.  You will be directed to this application right after you submit your FASFA.

3. If you are a New York State resident and plan to attend part-time (between 3-11 credits per term), please visit our website to review the eligibility criteria and instructions for Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS) and apply. 

All applications can be accessed directly from our website: Apply for Financial Aid | Financial Aid | SUNY Empire State College (esc.edu).  Please also note that if you wish to take out student loans, you must actively accept your loans once you receive your financial aid package award letter for 2022-2023.
