Registering to Attend

Communications with important information, including a link to register to attend a ceremony, will be sent out to commencement-eligible students.

Important: To ensure you receive all commencement communications, please make sure your email inbox has available space. A full inbox will prevent you from receiving essential information needed to participate in ceremonies.

Office Hours

Students are invited to join the Commencement Team during virtual office hours on SUNY Empire Connects (login required), where you can ask all of your commencement questions. From how to prepare to what to expect during the ceremony — we're here to help you feel prepared.

When you attend an Empire State University commencement ceremony, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such photography, audio, and video recording and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for Empire State University’s promotional and marketing purposes now and in the future.
