Temporary or Invisible Conditions and Accommodations

By Andrea Piazza, Disability Specialist, Office of Accessibility Resources and Services

Are you a student who has difficulty attending to your studies due to a chronic invisible condition?

You do not have to use a wheelchair, have vision or hearing loss, or have a learning disability to be eligible for accommodations. The effects of any diagnosed medical condition or impairment may be significant enough to make you eligible. Temporary injuries or conditions are also included if it impairs the ability to complete assignments and/or meet course expectations.

If you aren’t sure and would like to speak confidentially about your situation, please call us at 800-847-3000, ext. 2244, or email the office at disability.services@esc.edu.
